We at Portside have done our utmost to create a web site that anticipates and satisfies our customers’ needs. With that goal in mind, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions. Customer Services

Question: Do you provide on-site consultations?
Answer: Yes, we can arrange an appointment at your home or apartment. We do suggest you visit our showroom first to familiarize yourself with some of the products you may be interested in. For appointments on-site, just call us to book a convenient time preferably between Monday and Thursday.
Question: Are you open on weekends and public holidays?
Answer: Our showroom is open on Saturdays between 10 AM and 1 PM. We are closed on public holidays.

Sales

Question: I’m not sure how much I should budget for when dealing with window coverings. What is the best way to go about getting some idea?
Answer: If you can provide us with some rough dimensions of your window sizes, we can provide an estimate on any product requested pretty well straight away. We can be contacted via phone, email, fax or mail.
Question: Do you provide on the spot, obligation free quotes?
Answer: All our quotes are obligation free. It is not our policy to provide on the spot quotes when on site, but we will send you a written quote either by fax, email or mail. These are normally sent the day after a consultation.

Support

Question: Do you provide a warranty with your products?
Answer: All our products carry a factory warranty. Portside should be your first port of call if you have any problems or issues with any of our products. It is not in our interests to abandon our customers once a sale is made.

Billing

Question: Do you accept credit cards?
Answer: Yes, we accept Mastercard and VISA. At this stage we do not apply a credit card surcharge. For jobs of a large magnitude we can arrange for a direct bank transfer or you can pay by cheque if you prefer.
Question: Do I have to pay the full amount quoted up front?
Answer: We take a 30% deposit to action most orders. Until the deposit is paid, Portside cannot place an order on your behalf. The balance is due on completion and we do not provide a credit period beyond this date.
